Neurodiversity, As A Business Imperative


Beyond discussions around diversity of gender, race, class and age – neurodiversity, or ‘diversity of thought’, is just as vital. It has challenged the medical framing of autism, ADHD and other conditions, presenting them instead as a natural neurocognitive variation.

Neurodivergent minds are proven to have exclusive strengths such as creativity, outstanding information processing, data driven thinking and an ability to focus on tasks over a long period of time – essential skills for every business. In fact, the World Economic Forum study says that the top three skills in 2020, besides complex problem solving and critical thinking, is creativity.

With 40% of global employers struggling to find the talent they need, neurodiversity should be seen as a disruptive mechanism in the ways our traditional companies are operating by limiting its competitive edge…
