Having attended the Tech Inclusion event at Google last week, I walked away more inspired about the importance and relevance of diversity in our world today.

In a post-Brexit, post-Trump era, we have entered into a seemingly more polarised world of outraged Twitter and Facebook feeds from an array of people. Besides the inability to relate to others, a lack of diversity in the workplace is in fact linked to less innovation and business development.

Official statistics published by the UK government this year revealed that white males are dominating the creative industries, with women filling less than 40 per cent of jobs – although the gap is narrowing in architecture and design. This is equally the case for racial minorities…
